We believe that there are many worthwhile causes in our world that deserve our help. Therefore, here at TLG we have a program where we allow our staff to choose their own non-profit for which to volunteer in order to make our community a better place. Our staff chooses their preferred charity, and The Language Group supports it by way of providing paid time off to support the charity. We call it our VTO (Volunteer Time Off) program.
Pictured here is Staff Accountant, Michael Goldston (center), volunteering at OPEN NORFOLK. This is a project that is close to home for Michael, as he lives nearby. This charity allows Michael the opportunity to improve his local neighborhood to create a “Pop Up Park” in order to provide a community space for the neighborhood, Church, and Civic leagues to gather for community events. Michael assisted the design team, Work Program Architects to build and create a space with picnic tables, kiosks, Adirondack chairs and a stage.
